The mission

My intention with Kyra Jane Clothing is to create really well made garments that will last you for years. I have a keen eye for quality construction and pride myself in paying attention to little details when sewing your orders.

I make every piece to order to reduce waste and create intention around each purchase made. New designs are released slowly and then usually kept available for years. This does away with the fast fashion β€œpanic buys”. My designs will be here when you are ready to commit to investing in them.

My grandmother was the first person to share her love of linen with me. She designed and produced her own linen line for many years, and I so enjoy keeping a part of that alive with my own line today!

Sustainable care

I use the highest quality, Okeo Tex certified linen for every Kyra Jane design. This linen is produced in small batches by a widely credited mill in Europe with high standards for sustainability and ethical business practices. Linen is a natural fabric made from the strong fibers of the flax plant. Flax is a drought tolerant, pest resistant plant making it quite an environmentally friendly fabric choice. Linen is hardworking and lasts for many years when cared for well. It is more moisture wicking than cotton, which makes it perfect for warm weather, but when layered, linen also is a cozy fabric for cooler seasons. Naturally antibacterial, linen only gets softer with washing and will quickly become your favorite fabric to wear. When it’s no longer wearable, linen is also fully biodegradable.

Made by hand

Each garment is designed, cut, and sewn by either Kyra or her seamstress, Karen in Kentucky, USA.
